Baader, Grandeur et décadence
Baader, Grandeur et décadence

The result of several decades of research, the archives of Andrei Nakov are protected by the Copyright © Archives Nakov, Paris. These archives contain numerous written and photographic documents as well as photographs of archival material related to works of art corresponding to his fields of research : the Russian avant-garde, Dada and Constructivism. When published, these documents are always accompanied by the Copyright © mention : ‘ Archives Nakov, Paris ’.

In light of some unauthorized publications which occurred recently, we would like to issue the warning here that any such abuse (i.e., use not authorized in writing by Andrei Nakov) will lead to legal action.

Recent illicit utilization of several documents copied by an American publisher from Andrei Nakov’s book, Kazimir Malewicz : Painting the Absolute (Lund Humphries, London 2010), resulted in a legal litigation in which Andrei Nakov received the appropriate compensation.

Andrei Nakov informs the readers of this entry that he considers favourably reproduction requests in which the proposed publication is, undisputedly, of a scholarly/scientific nature. This type of permission is normally granted free of charge.

Contrarily, in cases where the publication is deemed to be of non-scholarly merit, and if reproduction permission is granted, a fee will be incurred for the requested documents in addition to handling charges before delivery. The amount of these fees is assessed in relation to the nature of the publication and the print-run.
